Professional Philosophy
As a clinical supervisor, I prioritize inclusivity, development, and growth above all. My commitment to my supervisees is fostering open communication, nurturing creativity, and cultivating a strong sense of community, ensuring you feel empowered on your professional journey. I structure supervision to create a safe and supportive environment where every voice is heard, valued, and respected. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just starting, I look forward to connecting, learning more about your goals, and growing with you!
As a seasoned Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with nearly a decade of diverse experience in acute inpatient care, substance abuse treatment, and private practice, I specialize in assisting individuals across all age groups, from children to adults, in managing anxiety and trauma.
My approach integrates creative arts techniques and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to foster healing and resilience. By utilizing expressive modalities such as visual arts and writing, I create a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and enhance self-awareness.
Through EMDR, I facilitate the adaptive resolution of trauma, leading to symptom reduction and improved overall well-being. My client-centered approach focuses on enhancing regulation, improving interpersonal interactions, and fostering a positive outlook on life, empowering individuals to tap into their inner strengths and resources for meaningful transformation.
"When you know yourself, you are empowered.
When you accept yourself you are invincible."

Personal Background
Initially entering this field by happenstance as a fine art photography student, I envisioned becoming a therapist as a way to support individuals on their healing journeys. It wasn't until years later, within this profession, that I discovered the profound impact of trauma work and the lasting positive effects of tapping into one's inner child for healing. Through my own experience of post-traumatic growth, my spirit began to sing. My connections with those in my life, my inner self, and my community deepened, and my appreciation for and love of my role as a therapist grew immensely.
Supervision: The Art of Therapy
Working as a clinician can feel like a solitary experience, where ideas, reception and feedback are limited. Supervision the podcast through an open dialogue, interviewing clinicians invites guest clinicians to get real and share their experiences about topics of their interest in the therapeutic world and beyond. "Supervision" aims to remove barriers and provide support for the clinical community, answering questions and sharing real experiences so we as therapists can feel better guided and more connected to one another.
